Digital Daily reported on December 7 that KT has successfully developed a new generation of Wi Fi wireless router, which adopts Wi Fi 6e specification and can provide a maximum transmission speed of 2.88gbps for notebook computers and smart phones.

The new generation of Wi Fi wireless router developed by KT supports the use of three public frequency bands (no license band) of 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz for data communication. It can handle 10.7gb traffic per second, 80% faster than Wi Fi 6 router, and the connection capacity is expanded by 1.5 times. A router can connect up to 1500 terminal devices at the same time. The new generation of Wi Fi wireless router uses 4096 quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), one of the core technologies of Wi Fi 7, with a maximum theoretical speed of 2.88gbps.
